Spanish Question Answering 2003

Questions

UNED will provide 200 questions that seek for fact-based answers (names, quantities, dates, places, etc.) Some questions may not have a known answer in the document set, so the correct response for them is NIL. A question will be assumed to have no answer in the document set if UNED assessors don't find it during the answer verification phase and no participant returns a correct response.

Questions will be available for participants from the CLEF web site on May 7.

Document set

The document set used in the Spanish QA is available at CLEF. A registration form and data release forms must be first compiled, signed and sent to the CLEF coordinator (see CLEF - HOW TO PARTICIPATE sections for further details).

The QA track will use the CLEF2002 collections - therefore you do not need the new 1995 data for this track.

The document set contains more than 200.000 international news from EFE Press Agency during the year 1994, with the following format:
